Animal Ordinance Enforcement

The Animal Ordinance Enforcement Officer is responsible for enforcing Wayne's animal ordinance. Many of his duties include investigating complaints of animal abuse, animal bites, stray animals, and licensing violations. The City's Animal Control Ordinance requires the wearing of a license tag by all dogs four months of age or older and further provides that only two dogs may be licensed per residential household. The regular renewal licensing period is from the beginning of January through the end of February. View the Dog Cat License Form (PDF).
