Building & Engineering

Comprised of three divisions, the Department employs one full-time employee and eleven part-time employees and is entirely dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of the citizens of Wayne and protecting them from substandard and unsafe construction.

The Department of Public Works (DPW) employs 16 full time employees and 3 part time employees.

Senior Resources

Starting July 1, 2019, the City of Wayne will pay the annual membership fee of $12 for you to join either the Friendship Center located at 1119 Newburgh in Westland or the Dyer Center located at 36745 Marquette which is also in Westland.

Youth Services

The Wayne Youth Services Assistance Program is administered through City of Wayne Parks and Recreation Department.
